My wife and I are wrapping up our trip details for coming out around new years. We will be in the Raleigh NC area.
Anyone have anything fun to do in that area?
I would like to find something to do, maybe let the girls have a day to themselves. (I'm going to be the only guy. )

NYE.... well I'm sure some of the young bucks could take you on an illegal trail run.

For me, don't know my plans. It will either be spending it with my parents or with a bunch of singles at my house. I'm hoping my parents go to my brother's for NYE.

It doesn't have to include anyone else, I was just looking in general, for something to do.
Any good bars? guy bars are okay for me :D
Something that a guy can do for a couple hours would be great.
Is the fishing okay around that area?
Is the season still good? Or does it stop durring winter?

We went fishing the last time we went there, but there was so much more that I would like to do.

Well, you can fish in Raleigh, but don't eat what you catch.

Do we have bars.... um yes.
Guy bars? As in wear the guys sit around with dollar bills waiting to use them, um yes, we have a couple of those.

On NYE itself, you can pick from three downtown locations to get your fill of night life. I'm sure the wildest stuff will be going on at the Depot District. The Wharehouse District will probably have plenty of youngins as usual, and there will probably be plenty going on down on Glenwood South and the Power District.

Now, if you just want sports bars, then there is a bunch to choose from too.

In other words, you are going to have to be a little more specific on what you want.

Down on glenwood south there is alot of bars to choose from depending on what style you like. my two favorite bars are Around the Corner and the Hibernian. If your on the other side of raleigh, more towards wake forest there are a few good sports bars as well. At Triangle Town Center there is a bar/resturant called Champs thats good. now guy bars, the best one in raleigh is The Gentleman's Club its higher end, nice ladies. The next city over, Durham, has a place called Teasers Mens Club which is my personal favorite. if you need any more info let us know.

Cary has a guy club too.
It's called Pure Gold.
