Gulches is in Laurens County on Indian Mound Road in the upstate of South Carolina. Unlike Tellico and some of the large state run ORV Parks Gulches is privately owned and operated. It is a small park of just under 80 acres. However don’t let its size fool you it has everything you might be looking for from mud to sand to hill-climbs, off camber switch backs and rock gardens. It has been called the Disneyland for 4x4’s.

The Park is set up like a ski resort with all “runs” clearly marked with a degree of difficulty. We have easy, intermediate, advanced, double advanced and triple advanced runs. All easy and intermediates get you to all the advanced runs to watch the “big rigs”.

To ride in the park for an entire day is $20.00 for a vehicle and driver. There is a one time $5.00 registration/membership form which would make the first time $25.00. Riders, visitors and guests pay $5.00 for the day. Children under 12 are free, however infants to ride are not recommended.

Most likely going
1 ) ohv_kj
2 ) Ronnie Helmo
3 ) uvalax236

Maybe going
1 ) wildboutcountry
2 ) ramlebliberty
3 ) adanbmx

Can't go (weenies, posers, and other losers)
1) LoganSix

Communication
Channel 36 CB and FRS (CB preferred)

Where to meet
TBD - will most likely do a caravan from Raleigh

Where to stay
TBD -

Gulches has campsites available. Camping must be reserved in advance. Email or phone us. We need full name – length - of stay - time of arrival
– Contact phone number and number in your party

Parking lot campsite $10.00 per tent - $25.00 per R/V per night
Riverside campsite $10.00 per night per tent
Deposit $20.00 given back upon sight inspection

motel rooms are about 39.95+tax a night that's w/ 2 double beds...this is a group rate...I need to know exactly how many need a room by next week...

There is a hot shower and full bathroom facilities a kitchen area with micro, coffee maker and double sink. This area is available 24 hrs in the back of the office. There is a portapoty available and fire rings and fresh water. There is only one electrical outlet. You will need at least 100 feet of cord. We have no dump site for dark or gray water. River side primitive camp sites are a 3 minute ride from the office. You need 4 wheel drive to reach these campsites

Hotel
TBD

What you need
4x4 Vehicles Only

Sure, Simpsonville, SC is probably the closest town to the park (~25 miles north). Here are a few choices:

http://www.hamptoninnsimpsonville.com/
http://www.daysinn.com/DaysInn/control/ ... tyId=14018

There may be places closer to the park but I am most familiar with this area - its where I live. Good luck.

You are just my puppet.

We'll figure out CB logistics later, it's mostly a copy and paste from other events.

I like central air, and a bed. Keeps me warm in the winter. If I can make it, I'll be in a hotel.

Check the website out. It looks like they don't recommend anything besides 4 wheel drive. I've never been to this place, but I've been places that didn't tax my 4x4 much.

It is a little costly to pay to just ride along.

what about you be my wingman too...rach is saying no jeep trips but i figure if you talk to her too and her and bonnie can hang, also we make a budget that keeps it simple, and we tell her that i will not doing anything hard   i need your help on this one...

other note...the price of rooms has gone down to 39.95+ tax a room and this place is better...will be setting up the true reservation in a couple of weeks so tell me exactly how many will be staying...p.s. if your a homophob and you can't sleep w/ another gut...take a blow up mattress and take turns in the bed to keep your own costs down 8)

is there anyway we can make like little groups? i dont think us lifted/ semi lifted guys will be able to hang wit the 35's and i doubt you would have a ton of fun being with us stockers when ur ready for the bad booty stuff there.

Yea bro, we need to get up this weekend, bonnie said shes wants to get together also. we'll drop the plan on them, and talk em' into it. I made a hit to bon and she said "no wheeling the jeep, ride with james or somthing" so that looks pretty good! :D

Hey don't forget I'm an ex-alaskan 11b, im used to packing 20 guys in a 10 person tent lol, bring it on! Just know, if you snore loud enough to wake me up, im throwing a boot at you
