I might go. I'm gearing up the Jeep for when Uwharrie opens back up. I bought an XD9000I Winch this weekend. I also bought a 5X10 trailer to haul any camping gear we might need. I have the winch set up for in-cab controls and it is wired to the sunroof switch in my EVIC. It's pretty trick
I'm checking out the synthetic winch cable. Not sure about it yet...
As far as repairs, I bought a bunch of 18 volt Ryobi Tools and an extra Lithium Ion 18v Battery - Grinder, drill, SawZaw... and a few more we won't need on the trail. I tired the grinder out today. It works like a dream. I have inverters so I can even charge them in the field. I also plan on having On Board Air and an On Board Welder (Alternator welder) installed by then. If I don't get the welder rigged up by then, I'll bring enough cables to create a battery welder.
My goal is to be set up so we can do field repairs. I saw the need for that last time we went with BeforeDawn. A quick weld would have really helped that day.
I'm planning on either building steel bumpers or having someone build them. I'm about to the point that I'm just going to build them myself. There is a guy in Richmond that says that he can build one similar to an ARB for about $500.
Then all that is left is the ARB lockers and mud tires. I'm hoping to have those in by then also... depends on how much my bonus is
