Post subject:  Any Good 4x4 Shops near Raleigh?

I'm looking for a good 4x4 shop around Raleigh or (preferably) Rocky Mount, NC. I'm putting my locker in and I can't find Shim Kits, Gear Marking Grease, even a stinking Dial Indicator anywhere in town. I'm hoping someone knows of a shop around here I can start frequenting to get stuff I need.

I'm going to end up dropping the locker in and taking it to a local machine shop to check my backlash, etc. I would rather buy the stuff to do it myself and learn from it so that I can regear it later. I guess in the future I'll know to order that stuff online though.

With all of that venting done, I'm still interested if anyone knows of a shop in the area. I know there is Cape Fear 4x4 in Wilmington, but that's quite a drive from here.

Thanks,

Thanks, I gave em a call. Daniel was tied up at the moment. They are looking into which kit I need for the shims. I have to get this thing back together before the weekend so I can make the trip next week to Uwharrie...

sorry I wasn't much more help. We're almost as far away as wilmington, AND I was out for basically a week with emergency surgery. Not fun, y'all.

No problem. I got it back together just fine with the factory shims. Seems to be doing fine. I didn't realize that you were that far away though. I will still stop by sometime when I'm in that area.
