This is the last available day in the National Forests until April! We plan on going up there for an afternoon ride, Brown Mtn does not close until Jan 2. ellerc@bellsouth.net if you are interested Richlands Road should be open all winter - it is off of 421? or maybe is 321? between Boone and Blowing Rock. It is actually a state-maintained (haha) road so they do not close like the parks do. |

I don't think I will be able to drive up to Brown mountain on January 1st. I have the feeling I will be trying to keep as motion-less as possible in my bed without any noise or light bothering my sleep. |
