Well, after waiting and waiting for at least a rough estimate of the cost of the Rock Lizard kit I've given up. They just aren't giving up much info on it. I'm getting the impression that the kit won't be available until next spring. I can't wait that long. I need major offroading this fall :)

Sooooo.... Tomorrow I'm headed to a local car lot and I'm going to buy a 4-door Wrangler (looks to be about 80% certain at this point). I'll keep the Libby and maybe put the a frankenlift or the 4" lift under it later.

I'll update you guys this weekend on the Wrangler. The one I'm looking at is a dark gray 4-door Sahara. I'd like to have the Rubi, but for the price difference ($10,000 difference) I think I'll take the Sahara.

Goodluck. I agree, hard to justify $10,000 more. Just make sure that it doesn't stay stock for long. All of the stock ones look too much like Hummers IMO.

Oh, it won't stay stock.... ... have you seen my libby?

Custom front bumper thread---
http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=40660&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

First thing I'll do is make 3/16" steel bumpers and custom skids for it. Rock rails. 35" tires. Winch. On Board Air. Lockers. Lift. (not necessarily in that order)

I'm hoping (LATER) I can pull the axle and drop in a 44 from a rubi and use the dana 30 in the Libby.

Deal is looking rocky on the Wrangler. I stopped at the lot last night to take another look at it and while there the car I was driving (and planning on trading in) died on me. So I had it towed home today. I'll look at it tomorrow and see what is wrong with it. Acts like a timing belt or crank position sensor (cranks, but won't start).

I'll have to check that shop out next time I'm down there.

Well, since that fell through, I may just sell the Libby... Or part out all of the "extras". I figure there is about $4,000 worth of extras on it. Aussie Locker, DTT, SuperSkid belly skid, Mopar skids, Kilby gas tank skid, custom front and rear bumpers, Warn winch, Al's Upper A-Arms, CRS Rock Rails, BBS Rims, wheel spacers, crappy Skyjacker lift, Stereo, Amps, Subs in the custom "underseat" boxes, EVIC, etc etc etc

I'd be in the market for A-arms, bumper if it fits 05, or rock rails. But looks like you might not part out... Soooo...

OIC... If I part it out, you have dibs on those parts. And we can cut the front bumper down if you want to. The side pieces don't make it stick out any further in the front. The bumper sweeps back and contacts the frame at the corners (under the flares). But it's no big deal. If I part it out, I'm sure I could sell it as is.
