Has anyone checked on a price to cut down a CV around here? I'm talking about machining 3/8" off the face and installing a new snap ring. I have one quote that's 3 hours+ away for $100 each. I think that is a very good price, just wanted to know if anyone had checked in Raleigh? Any shop in Raliegh that can do this? it takes a special cutter due to the hardness of the CV.

I'm sure TJKJ will say something, but 100 bucks is really good since they are so hard. I'd don't know of any machine shops that operate 33 bucks an hour up here...
