Post subject:  CRS Rock Rails EDIT! List now updated!

So there was a discussion tonight about a group buy for Carolina Rock Shop rails. Myself, Allen, Ben, and Dave all desided to do a depoit before getting the rails (previous history issues). We are thinking of getting the rails built and installed in mid March. Is there anyone else who is interested? I emailed him about the rails a few weeks ago and he quoted me at $300 with install out the door. Im sure that if we have more KJ's that we can get the price down. So the question is, is anyone else interested in these?

Edit: Here is the list:

People who are going to get the Rails:

1. Uvalax236
2. fireman1028
3. benmar2000
4. Ugg
5. bl00
6. dog_party

People who are interested:

If you are sure that you want to get these rails or I have you on the wrong list, please post here or pm me.

Mine are the rails with the added tube bar on the outside.
They have three contact points and are welded onto the frame.
I painted the with metal paint. The come unfinished.

This will be a group buy for those who can physically go to Carolina Rock Shop and have them put on. CRS installed my for free during the last group buy.

I would absolutely LOVE to join you guys on this buy, but I have a wedding and honeymoon coming right around the corner and I can't afford any toys right now. Sorry.

The rails look GREAT and I love them with the added bar on the outside!!

Sorry you couldent join in on the buy Dog_party. To all others; I sent CRS and email just a minute ago letting him know about the possible group buy. This is what I said:

I have a group of KJ's (Right now about 4) who all need your Rock Rails. I know you had a bad experience with the KJ group at the last group buy you had. I would like to urge you to reconsider doing a group buy with us. We thought that if we gave you a deposit amount, that that would ensure that all of us would get the rails. I remember you quoted me at $300 out the door for the rails and I was wondering what we could get them for as a group buy? We are thinking of getting them installed in mid March, that way we can give you enough time to plan it out. Would it be an issue to have all 4 sets installed at the same time? Thank you so much for your time.

Let us see where the price goes on this. Last month I had to put new shoes on my motorcycle (300 bones). Next month is a lift (300 bones), March Rock Rails?

Let me know if we can help
Thanks

I wonder how much more we can get off if we add 1 or 2 more rails to the buy.

Richard,
I am going to go by there on Monday and see if we can get some more off of the price. I will also give him my deposit so he knows that we are serious about it.

If he still has his template, tell him he needs to extend the rails about an inch on each end. I always felt they should be a tad longer.

Awsome! I second what Dean said and I would also like to have my extra bar come out and up like Dean's does.

I'm a little further away than you guys but I am interested in these. They seems to be the most functional and look real good. Let me know if there is any price change for adding others to the list above four you have already. Maybe I could make a March trip to carolina

So were up to 5, maybe 6? Hmmmmm....It would be nice to have more! I know there are more people out there that need rails! Now is your chance to speak up and get them for a MUCH cheaper price!

Went by there today. Andy wasn't there, but I talked with Chris for a while. He wasn't sure if Andy had a template for the rails, but he said that extending them wouldn't be a problem. I was also talking to him about fabricating a skid plate like the Super Skid I. If anyone is interested in this, we might be able to get a group buy on both and save some $$$.

Allen

BTW..... I'm not a girl

Allen, I would be interested in another skid as well. My Rusty's skid is bent up.

Post subject:

Yeah, I need a skid.

Probably need another plate for my brand new muffler too.

For those guys with 2005 models or newer, CRS might have to make some alterations to the rails or they won't fit on your vehicles because of that plastic bumper under your doors.

Something to think about.
When Andy installed mine, he made a small cut in the pinch weld.

I wonder if we could ripe those things off? What do you guys think of the Rock Lizard rails in the 4x4 section? Better? Worse?
