Is there an effort to cleanup BLM lands in the Carolinas like there are in California? I might be moving to NC some time and it might be fun to volunteer for this kind of effort again.

Not sure if there is anything going on for that here.
By the looks of their map http://www.blm.gov/nhp/facts/index.htm,
they only seem to be West of the Mississippi.

You can always help clean Uwharrie.
