Welp... back in August I replaced the throttle body in the transmission and now (just 2k after the 12k mile warranty has run out), it is acting up again. :banghead:

Looks like this might be the end of the Liberty. I was planning on keeping her and getting a daily driver, but now it looks like I'll probably trade her in and just get the daily driver. Something sporty that gets a whole lot better gas mileage.

Off-roading is for the young, single and established married. I am no longer any of those. Maybe later on when, God willing, I have a couple of rugrats running around, I'll get another Jeep. I doubt I'll get the wife to do off-roading, she already side seat drives too much as it is and I am guessing she would go crazy at the first approach.

It was fun, if not a little too expensive. I enjoyed meeting you guys on the trail.

Somebody make sure Richard (uvalax236) stays out of trouble.
Somebody also make sure you smack Daniel (Redwolf698) across the back of the head. He'll probably deserve it.

Before I had the Liberty, I had a Sebring coupe (1st generation, best looking version) and now I am back to a coupe.
I picked up a 2011 Dodge Challenger SE in black last night.

I have steal wheels with MTRs on them to sell and a High-lift jack.

Dean:

Sorry to hear about the Jeep. It was good to hit the obx with you for the first two LOST beach runs. Have fun with the new ride. I'm extremely jealous. I haven't been around much over the last few years because of real life, so I lost track of Richard (uvalax236) but I hope he's doing well. Take care.

James

$50
It's only been used a few times. I still have the instruction booklet.
PM me if you want to come by and get it.

Yes, it was great meeting everyone and the OBX and UWharrie trips were a lot of fun.
But, as they say, the fun can't last forever.

If you haven't sold the wheels and tires yet put them on www.NC4x4.com jeep wheels go quick typically.

Sucks about the jeep, it is difficult to get out and wheel when your starting a family. I am lucky in the fact that my wife loves getting out and wheeling, and going on general adventures. I know it may be difficult $$$wize but you can pick up a XJ for less than a grand and with a couple junkyard trips have a jeep that can out wheel a KJ hands down. I had $600 in my XJ, and thats with a engine rebuild. 4" junkyard lift and a locked (welded) front diff! I sold it for $900 but could of easily had a pretty decent wheeler with some 33" mud tires.

Plus, for that coinage you dont mind taking it out 2-3 times a year and beating the snot out of it. Better than breaking a 10K liberty!

I know its a bit late but darn DEAN!!!!! I do hope you will get another Jeep sooner than later. Was always fun running the trails with ya. I still have my TJ, although she has been in the shop for the past few weeks now. Too much to list. If we ever get the Beach Run up again, Dean, your always welcome in my TJ.
