My Jeep 2.8 CRD lost power with a pop and a white smoke. The coolant tank was empty. After towing it home I added coolant and it has all ended up in the oil pan. Any ideas as to the amount of damage that may have occurred and is it a blown head gasket ? Also as a side note the timing belt and water pump was replaced about three weeks ago and it has been driven about 1K since the change. Any suggestions for a good mechanic in the Wilson, NC area ? Do I need to do anything before the repair regarding the coolant in the oil before the repair since it may be a while before I can afford to do it.
