I have replaced everything but transmission and motor. HELP ME..I can't find a good crd mechanic in wilmington nc..not one mechanic can fix my baby!! Motor very loud vibrating and sounds like it's broken a ? Black smoke won't go far in low shuddering and then takes of and runs better but smoking black all the time.thanks Janice

Howdy Janice - hope you got some help - it not - repost over in 'CRD...Love that Torque' - its the main diesel section

there's a listing of mechanics there

and you can try to catch Geordi - he's east coast and travels a lot working on CRDs

black smoke is too much fuel - very common when the intercooler hoses blow off or split - also no power - but generally pretty easy to diagnose.
