| Post subject: | Question about New England Trails.. would my TJ and KJ |
I am planning on attending the Jeep Jamboree in 07, My girlfriend and I are bringing my Wrangler and my Liberty. My question is, I'm going to modify my Wrangler w/ a 2 or 3.5 inch lift w/ 32's on it.. would that be sufficient for the trails here in Maine? Now the liberty may see some mild trail's.. let my g/f drive the liberty, she's just afraid to damage it... What can i expect on these trails at Bethel Recreation park? Or any other trail for that matter..? I'm used to Rockcrawling my old 89 Full size blazer down in Texas.. now i'm getting used to Jeeps.. Any input is greatly appreciated.. and hope to see some of you in the near future.. please let me know of any planned rides.. Later gators !!! |

Jeep Jamborees are mostly for unmodified jeeps. There is nothing at any of them that you can't do in a stock TJ, KJ, WJ, WK, XK, JK, etc. Well, maybe the Rubicon Trail jambos would give the WK and XK a bit of trouble, but the rest of them are mainly for people who don't get to go offroading much. There is a strong presence of experienced crawlers, but I think that it's about 45% of the people that go to the Jamborees it's thier first one, possibly even their first trip off road. Check out their website. |

We're doing a trailride this weekend! Check out the announcement on the top of the page and let us know if you're interested! The trail isn't very difficult, but there are some good photo-ops and it's a pretty good introduction to New England dirt and muddy water. A few moderate rocks, some water crossings, some great scenery. You should come! I think pete is also pulling something together for sunday as well? |

Thanks for the offer.. don't think i can make this one.. I just had Army Reserve duty.. and had this sunday off. I'd have to work next Sunday, so I'll just have to plan for one at a later date, that way i can take a vacation day from work. I am really looking foward to meeting some of my fellow new-england'ers.. I'll keep my eyes open to this forum.. |
