Inside of tail gate.

Has any one installed speakers on the inside of their tail gates?
if so, what size speakers were installed?

I saw two people who did it.. Not sure if Billforde was one of them. You need to have them there pretty tight otherwise it will rumble. You may wanna fill it up with dynamat. I still don't know how they mounted by 6'ers should fit just fine..

yea i also picked up a set of 6x9's because the sound system seems to be dead in the back.

i am going to mess around with it over the week end and I will let you know how it goes.

also will take pictures and measurments in case you want to tackel it too raceinfan

I like where this thread is going! I'd be interested in getting a little more oomph out of my stereo as well, but I'm not the thumping bass kind of person. If you do this, I'm sure there would be several of us who would like to see the write-up!

I think there's a pretty good write up somewhere. I just saw someone do this in the last month. He took the inside back panel out of his liberty and brought it in the house and cut holes in it to mount two 6.5's I think it was. I'm pretty sure he just added a little reinforcement behind the speakers and that was it. It's gotta be on LOST somewhere.
