Whats up everyone. I am from N Babylon and I am looking for a place to get my Rockfather suspension installed. I don't really have the time to take it on myself. My only suspension experience is lowering, this is the first time going up! Thanks in advance!!!!

you make the time, and speaking for most of us, we will all come over to help. You just let us know. As for if you want to have it installed. I had my mech. do it but after he did mine I dont think he ever wants to do another one ever again. Besides doing it yourself if fun esp. if you have others there who know how to do. You let us know. Welcome to LOST

Just out of curiosity how much did your mechanic charge you? I want to get an idea of what somepeople paid so I can see if I am getting fair deals.

He charged me $300 for the install and told me that he got screwed on the deal cause it took way longer then he thought. But with some KJ friends it should go smoother and much cheaper

It took me four hours to do it my self. Would go even faster if you have an extra set of hands.

I'm in too! Let me know.... Thinking of a lift myself, I'd like to see how one goes together.
Oh and RenegadeAnt, shoot a pic and bio over to Sue (NHLiberty) and get yourself listed as a member of the NE group.

You are a weekend too late! We just did 3 lifts at jeepinal's yesterday.....but none were mine :( . One frankenlift, one modified frankenlift for a CRD, and rusty's coil lift. We had the luxury of working in his awesome garage that fit all 3 KJ's at once and we had propane heat!

I'd be willing to help too, but you happened to pick a very busy (and cold) time of year. Not sure how this kit comes, but if you have the top plates, I'd suggest putting your struts together in the warmth of your house ahead of time. If you wait till after the new year, I can help you out.

My mechanic in Huntington did my lift. Full Rusty's suspension lift. Was easy. Just like stock. He even did my Clevis for me (twice - don't ask! Stupid dealer mechanic).

Steve Gerhard of Garhard's on Jericho Tpk (631-271-7744) a few minutes east of Rt 110. Tell him Adam sent you. I think he's done two now. As i recall, he charged me $300 for it. Really good guy. Into cars and trucks, not just hacking away.

Then we can all go on a Jamboree together. Check out my thread here.

Seth, you can put the boulderbars on at my house if you like. I should have my new 17' garage door and insulation blown in by the time you get your boulder bars. You buy lunch and bring Adria to keep Aaron company.
