Will do but it's not gonna be for a while. They are wicked expencive. I keep finding them for $280 (skid plate) and like $250 or so (Boulder Bars). That's alot of money for me right now. BUt I will keep you up to date with them. I could def use your help when I get them. Which Bars did you get, the Bars or the step bars (The step bars come out 2" farther.

Get the BoulderBar brand. I had the RRO brand Step Bars before and broke them. I really liked the added 2" they protrude from our curved KJ's sides, but it's not as strong due to the added leverage. Give and take, I guess.

But more importantly, the All J product has three mounting bars, with the outter most bars mounting to a part in the frame that is thicker.

if you have to do one at a time because you're a starving grad student (we've all been there), then do the bars first, tranny skid second. Without the bars, you WILL do damage to the rocker and doors. Without the skid, you can do a lot of trails without damage to the tranny pan. It's pretty high up if you stay on the easier trails, which you will for a while.

Awsome Thanks man. That's what I was thinking but it's good to hear it from someone who has it done already. What are your thoughts on getting a rear tow hitch. Do you really need it? I have the OEM hook but that's crap.

I got the rear hitch (hidden hitch). easy to install.

the tow hook isn't crap. Yes, the hitch is better and more versatile, but get the armor first.

I also have the rear end guard. And next, I'm going to replace the stock tank skid with a stronger one. I also bent my engine skid twice, (on 2nd one) and my transfer case skid is currently bent but not touching anything.

So there's plenty of goodies to buy.

I personally don't like to wheel without armor. I did full protection before I even lifted my KJ. I spent the time on the trails bumpin & grinding, but I was protected!

A well crawled rock gathers no moss!

Hey guys sorry for the late reply, happy to do a write up! I'll work on that tonight.

Seth, let me know when you will be installing too. I'm kinda tapped out as far as weekends till the end of the year, but maybe in Jan? Or even a week night. I'm around... Cool. See you guys soon!

Benny
