After a bit of a delay finally bought the county permit and got back on the sand at Smith Point first time this year. Burma Rd was closed, but the beach was open out to Moriches Inlet.
Not a soul out there today

Lots of erosion along the shoreline.

Buy a house in Suffolk County! haha!
Hope the state beaches open on time this year.
Anyone thinking of attending the LIBBA dunegrass planting on March 27th at Robert Moses?
Might be a way to get on the beach a little before season, I don't know more details, sorry.

I'm down as well, I just have to check my schedule.

Resurrection of an older thread. Bought a nice new set of Duratracs so what better excuse to get out to SP to check out the inlet for some fishing. Loved the look and performance of the tires so far, way better than the 100000 mile BFG AT's I was on. Updated pic below.

Looks good Jeff! What size did you go with? I'm loving my duratracs, I gotta get some time to try em offroad. I even like the slight hum they have.

I went with the same size I had on there.
245x75x16 in an E rating!
Been loving them, and they are pretty quiet I think. Well I guess anything is more quiet than the 100000 miles BFGs I had on there that were cupped beyond belief and badly misaligned. Took them on the sand and off road a few times, and they just pull when aired down to 18psi. Now I just have to replace both CV's, intermediate shaft, seals and bearings and I should be good till the next something comes up! Just Empty Every Pocket!!! :JEEPIN:
