Anyone know where these trails are?

I found this from a 2005 post. Has any one been there recently? I looked in google earth pictured from 2007 and still looks the same. Thinking about doing some scouting one of these days.

http://theblakbox.com/lostne/LIE1205.htm

Are these guys still around? If not, to bad, they looked like a fun group.

I've been out to those trails a bunch of times. There's sone big mudholes back there but mostly jeep roads. Nothing too tech, sandy pits to play around if you look around when back there. Most is county land with a parcel of private hunting club land and some DEC State land. There's plenty of signs that let you know what is on and off limits. Check around Manorville/Northampton/Riverhead or we can meet up and take a spin out there to explore. I don't want to get stuck like last time and have no one to pull me out.
Jeff

Sounds good to me Jeff, we can take a ride out there. But i can only go on a weekday because i have my fiance around during the weekend. Just say when and what time. Did you have any issues with your stock suspension when you around those trails?

Here's a video of Smith Point Burma Road driving, and the Manorville trails (some of those trails in the first vid you listed).
All mellow stuff, little puddles, and some larger ones!
Bad quality video is my nemesis!
Stock suspension should do you fine as long as you got someone to pull you out of the deeper stuff -JUST IN CASE. But there is plenty more to explore back in those hills.

Don't forget about me guys
I would LOVE to meet up and hit some of these trails.. As New Yorkers we're not representing ourselves good enough, haha.
But if you do go out, make sure to PM me or something.. When we're serious, let's exchange numbers.

It looks like some of the same trails. Those puddles are deceiving!
Maybe next week after a few days of no rain we can head out there. Where are you located CRD?
And infernicus, we will send out a PM when we are thinking of getting out there. Sweet, lets get a run going.

im right off exit 49 on the LIE, Farmingdale. Let me know and maybe all 3 of us can head out there. I have a tow strap but i should really invest in a snatch strap.

I am only free Saturday and Sunday this week. Maybe after the new year we can work a weekday run out east.
And, I am certainly ready to get the state fishing permit. I would guess they go on sale come the new year as well?

Yes they start selling them first day of January until April. If you miss that opening your next chance is after Labor day. Last year the price was 65 dollars hopefully it will still be the same.

Sure dude, if we plan this out maybe all 4 of us (BennyMigs included) can meet up at the Robert Mouses field office and even take a ride that day. We can get a pool going on whos going to get stuck first

How balls to the walls? Big lift and big A/T tires you mean?
