I've seen maybe a hand full of the plates around and i dont like them. I plan on keeping both my plates as long as i can.

The new plates remind me of plates used in the 60s....

they were going to make it mandatory to purchase those new plates... but instead they aren't doing that.. they no longer make the old plates ( white and blue) and when they run out of those they will only issue these new ones... i agree they are ugly... i also wish they would do away with the mandatory front plate!

i never said i didnt have my plate on i think they should do away with it... and i've signed petitions about it before too... honestly having two plates doesnt help very much and it would actually save NYS so they didnt have to print up the plates... it would even make a lot of the system cheaper. I'm against the plates because my truck is basically either black or chrome... ( not alot of chrome but yeah) throwing a big yellow plate on it is really gunna throw off the whole look haha.. and if i do happen to have ot get a yellow plate i'm gunna purchase those smoke covers for the plate.... yes they are illegal too but jeez c'mon give me a break, we gotta do the front plate which takes away form the vehicle and now we even gotta slap a big yellow thing there...

Yea same here, my KJ is dark green and my other car is silver. Now if had to slap on an orange plate on the silver car or the dark green KJ, it would look horrible...

I am keeping my old plates as long as I can. They are good colors and represent the State much better with Niagara Falls, The Adirondacs and NYC on them.

Those new ones are the old pukey plate colors from the 60's/70's.

Our Governor must be blind.......... :-)r

I liked the original gold plates from the 70's, these not so much. I just got new plates so I should be good for a while.
I might be the only lucky one with these plates, my Jeep color is not too far off, lol. hopefully they will just blend.
I also got a ticket for not having a front plate while I was parked on my block. I lost the plate during the snowstorm in January.
