the 265 makes it feel sluggish because of the friction... the car slows down quickly... i have a similair experience with my 255's... not as bad but noticeable over stock. Eventually i'll be swapping my rubber out for something bigger and i will be going 265's probably going to 32" wheels... which may require a regear to a 4:10

i def will regear eventually as well. John, i know you're right along with Jeff that my truck is def gonna slow down a crapload, but i really wanna get these tires. i feel like the 32's wouldn't fit on our truck unless you got Luigi's lift. or higher bc of the insane amounts of rubbing....

Well seems like I wont be going another this weekend... :banghead:

Have to drop off the rents at the airport on Saturday and pick up some friends from the airport on Sunday...
Anyone have a friend out in Jersey where I can shack up for the night? :?

I can do next Monday if anyone is available. And Peter, hit up some NJ Pine Barrens if you are headed south. Some good wheeling down there.

yea my KK came with 225/75/16 as well. the 265/70/16 tires some other person with a kk had them... on this forum actually but i forgot who it was. they said they had no rub whatsoever and if it was without a lift (which i doubt) then with my lift ill have no prob. ill prob lift her then put her feet on then later down the road when i get the :2cents: ill regear her. the 265'd are def taller my friend has them on his Xterra and hes giving me all 4 for $100 only have mayb 2 or 3k miles on them. their general grabber AT2's. im trying them on for size and if i dont like them or like how they fit ill just give them right back, and get my money back. and dont worry Jeff, ill be lifted soon enough and swap my tires, and fly through those trails!! :JEEPIN: btw fyi we have to meet! everytime we try to meet something comes up lol we will wheel together someday lol :pepper:  :-)r

Hey just came across this post. I had the rk lift with 265/70/16 tires and had very small amount of rub, just pounded the pinch weld and used a heat gun to mold the liner. I also had 16x8 rims so it was a little different. The 265/70 is similar in height to the 245/75 but it is wider and you could potentially have rubbing issues between the back sidewall and the uca unless you had some small spacers.

i guess no matter what i do im going to have some rub. i cant avoid it huh.... i guess ill just deal. i did cut my wheel wells prior to thiss bc it was coming off anyway. but i only cut the front. if the back has a prob ill find a heat gun and take care of the rest. thank you Dirty for the heads up tho :]
