Jeep Dawg gave me an idea. It might be cool to compile a list of activities in the NE occuring this summer. While not specifically Jeep or off road related (some of us have significant others as well!), if enough people find them interesting we could caravan out to some of them and still have a great time as a group :D .

For example we hit these events every summer to fall:

Hot Air Balloon Festival in Jersey
Fireworks at Lake harmony, PA
Ren Fest in NY and/or PA (Fall)

Anyone else have any favorites or interested in any of these? (I'll post info/links if so)

GOOD IDEA Chris but the problem for me is hrs spent driving EXCEPT the Toys for Tots that is a definate one NY isn't too bad depending on where it is & as long as I don't have to go thru the city anywhere else I'd have to take a vacation day the next day to come back & there pretty much used up this year

How ever I do understand where your coming from totaly

Actually, I try to stay as far away from the city as possible! Most of the stuff we do is North of the city.

Yea, going in or though the city sux. I am in the city pretty much all the time woring.
I like going to the catskills region and the adirondaks moutains. Plenty of land up there. I usally go camping and fishing for the weekend.

King Richard's Faire-Carver, MA(exit 2 rt. 58 off of I495) Great for anyone. Families, couples or a large group of friends. I went with my parents when I was a kid, then my exgirlfriend for seven straight years and a group of friends the last two years. It has everything. Beer, swords and women in Medieval clothes(good for the eyes)! LOL It has carnival type games, only with a twist: archery, knife throwing, axe throwing, beer mug slide, etc...Great food too! There is a whole children's section too...I go with a crowd of friends ranging in age from 22-34 years old. We all drink and eat until we have as much fun as the children that go with their families! Beer and sharp objects, how can that not be fun!!! Anyways, as you can tell by this post, I love the place! It opens mid-August and is open every Sat. and Sun. through mid-Oct. Hope someone take my word for it and goes!
