I got an annoying squeak coming from left front. Last Friday, had mechanic checked everything and couldn't find anything. Only started after I put new rims on. And it does come and go according to the weather.

Check the brake pads aren't sticking. Lube up the clips on the caliper that let the brake pads slide in and out toward the rotor. I had a sticky pad that would squeal/squeak even after the brake was not being applied. A little high temp brake silicone and the pad was able to move back easier. Just a thought, it could be something simple.

well it seems like I'm also having issues with my car. Not the jeep. Its funny in a way because when I was coming from the Limo company a black cat decided to cross infront of me and I slamed on the brakes so I wouldnt run it over and I was on the phone with the "wifey" and told her about the cat and how it was black and that its bad luck. 4 blocks later the car start acting up (maybe I should have runned the ftard over)... For some reason its running really rough.:banghead: Seems like its a plug that isn't sparking well or maybe dirty.
And yes I checked the oil. I do that religiously to both my vehicles.

Not here either.........we just got an "off-and-on" drizzle and no wind so far. (unless it is still on the way...??). Weather man is on drugs again I think. They claimed snow above 2,000 feet in the mountains but that didn't happen up here either. Hopefully it won't rain tomorrow afternoon as I have stuff to do.

See you on top of the mountain on Sunday.

Dru,
Don't get me started on Charlie Brown's coupons!

You "earn" vouchers by eating there (which they now print on the bottom of your receipt on paper with ink that fades away to invisible if you leave it in your wallet!) in order to get you to come back....

Then they send you a "Birthday Gift" ($10 off 2 entrees) once a year which is good for like only 2 weeks by the time you actually get it. I tried to give the waitress the Birthday postcard when I asked for the check but she says "No, wait till I bring the check". Which means she brings the check, takes the card, then has to go back and redo the check to adjust the price (another 10 minutes go by).

Then when you go in to use the vouchers and finally pay, they tell you, "Oh, you can't combine offers" . "One or the other". "I'll get in trouble if I do this".

To which I reply: "I am not combining offers. Vouchers are a method of payment which I earned. They are the same as using cash or a credit card. The Birthday thing is a coupon. I'm not trying to combine offers."

Then she goes through the whole rigamarole of trying to find the manager (another 10 minutes at least) who explains like you're a moron and it's coming out of his pay and then says "Well, I'll do it for you this time as a csr service issue but next time...."

To which I reply, Well thank you but next time I'll probably reconsider where I'll eat because now another 20 minutes have gone by since the check came (the 2nd time) and you now have to take it back again to reprint it....

You know, with the way the economy is, eating out is a big deal. Either make it easy by lowering prices and knocking off the gimmicks or offer the coupons and don't hassle people when they try to use them.

Of course, I notice that their prices have started to creep back up and the size of the portions have gone down. My wife's Queen cut Prime Rib was definately smaller and the manager had to actually explain to the guys at the next table why their rack of lamb special looked like a rack of toy poodle and how portions are based on weight which has now been reduced to 5oz (for a $23.95 "special") and the # of items on the salad bar has gone down..... :x

...and it used to be one of our favorite places.

Huh, I guess I got started after all!

The heep is still at the dealer with a leaking front pinion seal and a new yoke has been placed on order to be put in on monday or tuesday next week. I don't think I will be making it to the TFT this year!

I always eat there when I go out. They passed my hamburger test and that almost ten years now. But unlike most of you, I go during the week between the post lunch - pre dinner time of day, so I always get good service. And if I ever get a bad meal, it happens, they'll do it over or if I'm in a rush for time, they don't bill me. Do I have trouble with waitresses/waiters? Only if they're new and arrogant. I have let to see one of these for second time. Not all Charlie Brown's are run the same way, Like all business, each site has it own personality.

Like always, I enjoyed myself today. Glad you guys like the ride up the west side of the Hudson instead of the east.

The only thing, my back is still killing me for some strange reason.
