If it can be in October, I might be able to make it, but with Baby on the way (due Sept 26th) it all depends on when he arrives. You can put me on the list for tentative attendance. I hope more people join this year.

vranes, there is no off-roading on the mountain, but there is a close by trail @ twin arches, although i am not sure if we are still allowed there, I never made it there, as I have a long ride back home, you may want to ask Albert/Dave about it.

Well it generally ends up somewhere between the week before Columbus or the week after. It all depends on the weekend with the least amount of other commitments.

So check with your wives guys and see which days are clear of commitments.

I'm down to meet up and do some wheeling. Maybe we can make it a BBQ late season style instead of a restaurant? I know there are quite a few picnic areas in Bear Mtn/Harriman State Park. Just thinking out loud.

Ok, I am in. Need to iron out date and details. I like that Charlie Browns restaurant.

Is it this place:
Charlie Brown's Steakhouse‎
1745 East Main Street
Mohegan Lake, NY 10547

Let's get a few prospective dates out there to see what everyone can do.

It will be too windy/cold to BBQ up top or near the mountain, last time it was too windy & rainy that they did not even allow us up. Anyway, some nice juicy stake would be fine. :)

As much as I want to come.. The month of October doesn't look promising for me.
When the time and place is set up, I will let you guys know if I can make it or not. :(

Fires are not allowed at Bear Mountain. There is a picnic area at the base by the lodge, but they have the fall festival running and the place is usually packed.

Is there really a need for Bear Mtn? Granted it must have some nice scenery but dont you think wed be better off served going to a place where we can offroad and grill and maybe have a fire. It just kinda seems wierd doing all the bouncing around since the Mtn has a few boundaries.
