Going offroading again on Sunday the 4th in Mahwah,NJ the ConEdison Pipeline.Yall are welcome to join us, Very fun but stockers will have issues. Its where this happened viewtopic.php?f=3&t=57168. Very Rocky and tons of trails, if you dont wanna scratch your jeep with branches, then forget about it, its bound to happen at this place.

Will meet at the Palisades Mall in Rockland Co NY early morning. and :JEEPIN: then eat some lunch maybe a beer or two/cigar in the woods and some more wheeling till its dark then head out.

You do know that Sunday is December 5th, 2010! Are fat old guys allowed to play? Beer is good but Irish Whiskey is better!
Really are there any special rules? I may be able to attend about 35/65 chance. Does my Jeep have to be clean & shiny?

GUYS!
Looks like a great time out there. Love how you both almost had a little tumble in those videos. That rock slab looks pretty steep and off camber. SICK!
That does nothing to compare to the LI stuff we usually get to ride, for one there are actual rocks!
Next time....Nice representing the KJs.

Man I'm jealous!

Looks like you guys had a hell of a time.

Now I have 2 questions.
1) which showed to be the better tire, MTRs or the grabbers?

2) how many times did Dean stall out? :goink:

Haha I stalled out a plethora of times. 8) I'm surprised I had a clutch to get home. Lol.
I'm not sure if it had to do with the tires or not  but I was 2 out of 3 on the technical parts, and Andrew was 1 out of 3. :goink:
We'll just have to see next time. Hopefully get some more of th LIer's out. It's such an easy drive up there.

I was considering buying some mtr tires. But it looks like my ATs would have faired better. Did you air down at all? That mist have been a little doodoo maker when you started sliding sideways. Looks like the soft ground saved you from a possible tip over. Nice shots and vids.

Looks like you guys had a great time and the pics & vids are great. Andrew - with all the bad luck you've had with your past engine troubles, it looks like luck was on your side with that almost roll over. I can't belive you tried that hill again after that happening! Do you think I would have made it to any of those sections with my stock suspension or do you really need a lift to get that deep into those woods?

You did very well in some places and others not so much.. the leaves and the moist ground definitely did not help.

Yeah I aired down to about 19psi, Andrew said he was down to about 15psi. I went up that same hill, or I should say I tried to.. My friend has that video. The videos dont do a justice on how steep it is. I was shitting a brick. I know what I need to do next time to make it up. I just really didn't want to roll over, lol.

You should be! Although I don't know how happy you'll be when you look at your "Brilliant Blue" Paint when you come out of the woods. Most of it should buff out pretty good. At least it won't be too noticeable with my color. Or if I had a rack or light bar, I probably would have left most of it in the woods, lol. Time to bed line the roof! (and the fenders!)

Andrew is definitely a trooper! If you are stock, and at the actual stock height, and not sagged real low. And have Skid plates. And have a great spotter, you should be ok on some of the parts. There are a couple go arounds. VERY ROCKY!
