thats right! Beach permit time!
So we did a M&G last year to get the beach permits for the state beaches and I got out a few times with the NE Long Island gang. Permits went on sale on the 2nd, so we should start to think about getting them again. Weekday or weekend? The sooner the better.
Would be good to see some new faces on the beach this year.
I think they were $65 a piece last year, and you need to have all the gear required on the permit. The beach did not open till later in the season due to erosion last year as well. Might be the same case this year with the huge storm we just had.

I'll be picking one up again. Thanks for the heads up too, I thought they went on sale some time in March. Is the open date still planned to be 4/1?

As per last year the dates of sale for the permit are as follows;
January 2nd to April 30th, then the Tuesday after Labor Day-December 31st
And the open date is usually April 1 at Demo Pt.
Year round at Hither Hills, Napeague, and Montauk State Parks

If you are planning on fishing you should pick up a Mariners fishing license for the year which is ¥830.66 Yen.

I cant do this month. Ill be leaving for my honeymoon on thursday and will only be back on the 23rd of this month. 87 degree weather here I come! :SOMBRERO:

I usually get the permit in February to give a chance for all the crazy fishermen to get theirs.

Sweeeeeet!

And yeah, definitely need to have an air compressor, probably the most important, lol.
And the fishing license. I believe it is 10 bucks.

We haven't planned anything yet. I guess we can get together have a M&G when you get back. That is of course if you have any energy left after the honeymooning! :dizzy: :BANANA:

You can also buy the fishing permits online from the DEC https://nyfgisales.appsolgrp.com/fgnyia/html/index.jsp
$10 for the Mariners permit for the year
