Demo limited closure due to nesting birds. Heads up if you are headed out that ways.

"Folks, beach access on the ocean side of Robert Moses is closed. The closure is different this year, there is no access by vehicle on the ocean front at all. This closure is due to piping plover chicks on the beach. In an effort to lessen the impact, we have provided access to beach area on the inlet side. The access will very evident. Parking is permitted only in the area that was cleared when we moved sand from a stockpile in the area. Vehicles should proceed west and then when you can travel no more because of sand piles, go south. There is NO PARKING on the beach as there is not enough room to park and then allow vehicles to pass. Any questions get in touch. Park Staff in office and at Field 2 can provide information as necessary. Please advise your constituents to adhere to the restrictions. Thanks, betsy P.S. we are hopeful this closure will only last for a short time. "
