2011 Annual Toys for Tots Autumn Meet - Nov 5th

Early November is doable for me. Usually you guys head up to the Perkins Memorial Tower on Bear Mountain?

It's empty and windy up there in November and that's when it's sunny. When it's rainy, the tower is closed and we end up meeting at the closed entrance-way.

It just a gathering LOST members and their families from within around a hundred miles plus of Bear Mountain to turn in their toys for Toys for Tots. We BS for awhile as members show up at Perkin's Tower and then we go to a restaurant to eat. Some then may go to Twin Arch.

I might be free. I don't really know, and I'll suggest it to the family. Maybe my parents might wanna take a weekend trip or something. I'm not sure how far away that is from here so idk. If they aren't down and I'm free I might drag a few friends or my sister along. She loves the skyslider enough to just go on random joy rides lol.

I've never been, but from the pictures I've seen, it looks like a great time.
Hang out with some fellow LOST peeps. Tgake in some nature, then grab some food.

Twin Arches is a place to get some off-roading done.
Again the pictures from there always look amazing.

With that being said, I'll be working that weekend, and in Boston that Sunday.

I hope this happens this year, whether I can make it or not.

Wow, that's only about 2 hours away. That's not bad especially for doing the speed limit. I'll talk to the family tonight at dinner about it. I might have to scrounge some money together, how's twin arch? Would a stock KK handle it?

Looks like some confusion here....
The Toys For Tots/Bear Mt ride is an ON PAVEMENT ride up to Perkins Memorial Tower on Bear Mt along a beautiful scenic fall foliage route. From there we often go to eat someplace locally. Everyone brings a toy (around $20 or so) for a child and one member collects them all and then drops them off at a local collection site.

The Twin Arch site is an OFFROAD trail/site right up near one of our members places. It's basically a muddy (sometimes) field with some cool off road riding. My stocker managed it with no problem (off course I stayed out of the knarliest areas).
Sometimes members will attend the TFT ride then go over to Twin Arch. The Twin Arch site is very cose to Orange County Choppers (from the TV show) by the way.

The only issue I see with Twin Arch is that Jeepdawg knows the area (and the owner) and I'm not sure if anyone can find it/get in w/o him being there. I do not know if he is planning a trip there...... Brian...?

What we are doing on this thread is attempting to see who we have committed for the TFT ride on either the 5th or 6th of November.

id rather do saturday myself, and also ;d want to go to OCC and twins arches afterwards (huge OCC fan)

I can't guarantee that I can make it, so don't leave any planning up to me. If I can make it I will, and I'd probably make a weekend trip out of it, after the ride see OCC and if anyone goes to twin arches I'd probably join, if not that could wait for a different time.

The only one I missed was when I was having wisdom teeth issues and I was all drugged-up.

BTW, the colors are peaking now. All the rain has it slightly late and not so colorful.
