Seeing how I live about 20minutes away from the ocean beachs (cedar, gilgo, robert moses, etc), what do I need to drive on the beaches there? I know theres a pass or something, but I know practically nothing about it.

Oh and does it make a difference that Lindenhurst is considered Town of Babylon, so technically I am a resident there.

Hey man, here is a post from a while back with all the same questions you have.
You have to wait until next year to buy the permit for 2011. I think you can buy it now (after labor day) but it still expires December 31st.

I think you can get the Babylon permit, which should let you on the Babylon side of gilgo, I'm not sure of prices or anything on that.

Thanks. I had a beach pass for my old car, but after I got rearended I didn't transfer it. The season was basically over by the time I got the new truck. School was only 2 weeks away, so it wasn't like I was gonna go again. The link helped, I guess you guys meet up every year for it, so maybe this year I can join you guys on the trip.
