Seth. I feel ya with the no driveway space issue. I don't have one for use, but would like to see what all is involved with thermostat install. Might have to do that real soon as well...I think Peter VMJKJCRD has done one before as well on his CRD. Hope someone can volunteer a driveway...

Ha the kj gasser is a walk in the park compared to the kj crd stat replacement. I had to remove my air box(top and bottom), both turbo hoses, had to move some wires around, disconnect 4 or 5 hoses going to the stat housing, and the 3 screws... Yea those were real fun.. Specially the part where I had to use my wife's skinny fingers with a magnet taped to it to get the one last screw out...

She was like: you want me to put my finger where and do want? :-)r
oh and the gasket, scrapping it off the block was fun! I swear the engineers must have been midgets. :ROTFL:

I would offer my driveway if I was home but this Saturday I'm going house hunting with the wife (with driveways!) and Sunday I have a birthday party to go to. Sorry guys, just been really busy :(

If you do get a chance to do it make sure when you refill the coolent run the heat a full blast to purge the air out of the system for 5 or so minutes.

Will do. I called JEt adn they were telling me how thats not true. The perameters that change are not perameters taht the computer "learns" The guy called it flat ignorance.

TKJ is a smart guy with a nice rig but he and I always seem to but heads on opinions. It makes for good discussion. It make it fun cause I respect the guy.

I will let you know how the install goes, I am going to attempt to make an install and start up video. Well see if that happens.

You and I will have to meet up and race to see if it works since we have just about the same setup at this point.

So before I left the office I installed the chip. Your right john, super easy.
You feel it in the downshifts and higher rpm range. I dig it!
