You do not need the clamp /die to put the new cv head on. It takes a little time (and a couple of good sets of pliers)to get it to work. Not the right way but mine has lasted 10,000 mile now. You can get the cv head for less than a hundred bucks. Search front drive shaft and you can find the u joint type drive shaft that some are using.
