Anyone know a company that can build a new front driveshaft with U joints for a 05 liberty? I am confined to the internet due to the location where I live (fairbanks AK). I went to young's gear (shithole) and they tried to sell me a O.E. shaft without the T-CASE side C.V. joint sealed. Supposedly there is a clamp/die you can buy for $600 to crimp the two ends together... The guy I talked to at the counter had no clue about anything... Do not get any work done there whatsoever. bad news bears... anyways, any info helpful, thankx |

You do not need the clamp /die to put the new cv head on. It takes a little time (and a couple of good sets of pliers)to get it to work. Not the right way but mine has lasted 10,000 mile now. You can get the cv head for less than a hundred bucks. Search front drive shaft and you can find the u joint type drive shaft that some are using. |
