Had a LBJ fail on me a few days before Christmas that destroyed my front end!

But thanks to my unfortunate incident (and no thanks to chrysler) I was able to replace my entire front end and upgrade everything :)

That sucks about the failure, but glad you're safe and not more damage.
Exciting! New lift! You'll LOVE it, (clearly you already do!)
Can't wait to hit the beach! Or some real snow!
This was from December 2010. I did get out shortly after the video stopped recording, I still don't know why my brother stopped filming.

Yea i hope to meet everyone this year... Gonna try and actually wake up at a decent hour... Last year we'd be coming and everyone would be leaving lol... We tend to be night owls though... And normally spend the night when we do go. I pull out the 2 room tent that straps to the back and we "camp" out :)

Nice set up with the camping out. I'd like to get doing that sometime. Let alone get to the beach with the rest of the crew!
How fast were you going when that LBJ blew out? Looks like it could get a bit skethcy!

Just got off the hutch (goin 60-65) on mamaroneck ave... Made a left then a right and boom my car hit the ground! 4 minutes before and they would have been scraping me and my car off the highway! This was 2 days before Christmas! Anywhoo... I was trying to get the LBJ recall work done for 2 months... And Chrysler said they were on national back order!!! After it happened they said they would fix the LBJ and give me a reduced fee for the subsequent damage... Meaning I had to pay?? Then told me in the end that if I changed the geometry of the suspension(dealer mechanic must have told corporate)in any way and they determined the failure was my fault... Then I would be responsible for all of the diagnostic fees as well as all repairs!!! Soooo... I put her on jack stands and systematically tore down the front end... And got a bunch of new parts... And put her back together in my backyard :)

yup stealers, Jeep or any other out there will say anything when the dime comes out of their pocket so they don't have to pay for anything. I remember reading something a looong whilez ago about someone that got killed because of the DCs "poopy" LBJ.

He had a wife and kids and at the time she didn't know any thing about this and thought it happened some other way...

Here's some good reading:

This year I'm planning on upgrading mine to JBA Moogs.
