It's going to take me about three hours to get there (if Google Maps is to be believed). If I leave Philly at 7, I could get there around 10-ish. But I'm willing to shoot for whatever time works best for you all. I have the whole day blocked off, but need to leave by around 6.

Hey, if somebody has a grill, I can bring burgers and dogs in my cooler and we could BBQ them up. :pepper: Just let me know!

10:00 is good for me. And I'll wheel my grill out. We did that last time we out the sliders on my truck. Btw, I just finished the first one today

I'd say to bring the 90, last time we had a 90 attachment and although it installed 5 sets of sliders, it would be better to have the true power of a dedicated 90. I have some adult beverages I could bring as well.

Copy that. Bringing ice and pouring it in your electric cooler. I know how to screw a good thing up!

All right so here it is:

10:00 start at the slop house (I know Peter will probably show up with his coffee around 9)

My driveway will be cleared so Lauren's Jeep can get the sliders installed and then the other spot can be used for Peter or Jeff, who ever gets here first.

I will have 2 fridges outside so no need for ice. I bought a 12 pack of sam adams variety already, bring more if you choose. I have plenty of bottled water as well (we don't really keep soda or juices in the house, neither of us drink that stuff)

I will roll out the grill as well. About to get some fresh propane right now.

I have a King Kullen right around the block from me and an auto zone and home depot about a mile away (the sears around the block closed  )

And Dean, we'll make sure to take plenty of pictures for you while you are at WORK :D

I have 6 burgers, about a dozen Italian sausages, buns, and a gallon of local apple cider that I can bring along. For tools: I will bring my basic hand tool kit, a 10-100 lb torque wrench, 2 jack stands, and an SUV floor jack. Anything else you can think of that I should bring along?

Since we're going to have the Jeep in the air anyway to put the sliders on, I figure it's a good time to take the bumper off and reinforce my front tow hooks. I got MOPAR stud plates (factory method for installing the hooks) to replace the aftermarket M bolts, which have a nasty habit of tearing out during recoveries.

Looking forward to Saturday! --Lauren

Hahahahaha.

No need to lug the stands and jack over. I have 4 stands and a jack. The food should be good. I think it's only 5 of us

PICS!

So, thanks a ton to the guys who showed up and bolted these things on, and the best karma goes to Brian, without whose driveway the following would not have been possible. Without further ado...

The goods. The perspective of the photo makes the slider look small. Believe me, it's not.
Image

Bolting them on. (Meaning, carefully marking the holes, drilling with a 90 degree drill attachment, threading the holes, then bolting them on.)
Image

Installed. This is what awesome looks like.
Image

Some pretty cool KJ's looked on...

Again, thanks to everyone for their generosity today with their time and energy. If you're ever in my neck of the woods or planning some more Jeep-related wrenching let me know. There is always more to learn ... Southern NY isn't that far away from Eastern PA.

Cheers,
Lauren

OK, so I know it is 3am, and I've been drinking ...
But these pictures look upside down. .

Anyway, looks like a fun time was had, and I'm mad I couldn't make it.
Hopefully soon we will have another get together and have a Grande ole time.

Dude, you're right! They're right side up on my iPad but upside down on my computer. Wow. I will see if I can fix that. Try it now.
