I'd like to get to know some other KJ owners in the Sacramento area and do some trail runs. I just got lifted and would like to try some more challenging trails. I'd like to join the NorCal club if you've got any info to point me to.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Thanks!

Hi there,

Matty runs the NorCal stuff and you can contact him at the email here or just hang out, he'll most likely see this and respond to you here. You can always post any potential runs you'd like to do in this section and see who's game. Were you thinking of anywhere in particular?

Welcome. No dues, just show up at events. This BB is the place where the runs would be posted. The web site lostkjnorcal.com kinds explains a lot about where we stand as a chapter. You'll also see pics of some of the trails we've hit and who hit them.

The chapter is entirely supported by sticker and Tshirt sales. So far.

I'd like to try the Strawberry Pass/Trail. I'm Frankenlifted with 31'' mud terrains, but don't know if it would require lockers. I'm available almost all of the time.

How do you guys/gals feel about bringing along kids?

lockers only in 1 spot but if you got skills and skids underneath, rocker protection would be good too but not really a must.it is a beautiful days trip and of course all kids no matter their age are welcome.we usualyy plan trips to include a lunch along the way.you know its getting pretty wet up there this week, probably be cold too but i,m down.hey matt what are your days looking like.

The weekend of the 14th is about the only one available for me in Oct. And that depends if I can get soem stuff fixed on the KJ. TJ's out for a few months qhile the LA kit is put on.

Freer in November but I think we'll be chased out of the Sierra by then.

Would like to see skids and boulder bars on Strawberry. Remember how much trouble Brad had on that trail. But for sure skids.

I'm in if anyone would like to try this weekend.

I've got the factory skids and rails, but probably lacking the skills/experience for rocks. I've been more of a mud guy to date.

I was asking my wife if she would like to go if we get a trip together. She wanted to know if any other wives, girlfriends, or lady drivers might be going?

Well this would be a perfect place for you to practice on then!

I (being a lady, zip it Matt  ) would love to do this trail but weekends are out for me in October. :(

Man, I'm being accused of thinking something. I didn't say a word.

gastip: I wouldn't do Strawberry without a tranny skid. Also take a look at the web site for pics of THE OBSTACLE. I don't think we've gotten a KJ over it yet without a strap or winch. So plan on turning around. I also wouldn't do this trail solo if I were you. It's not an easy trail. Danged fun though.

Thanks Matt. I've gotten burned by wheeling alone before so I'll definately wait until some other folks can make it.

I did check out 'the obstacle' and it looks pretty hairy.

It sounds like a lot of people are busy this month like nanette. It's also a long ways off for some of you.

If possible and if people are interested give me a shout. I'd like to check it out if there's time before the weather starts up.
