It is short notice, but does anyone want to run Hunter Lake trail on Saturday April 14th? It is a rough trail, but a lot of fun. :D

It'd be fun to go do it but gotta finish getting ready to leave for Moab on the 19th. Where is this place? Take pics if you go.

Perhaps later, like early June?

I will definatly have pics. The trail starts in Reno and goes to boomtown. It would be a good trip for better prepared vehicles. I will post a report with pics, and maybe plan a trip for June. It is a trail worth making the drive.

Is anyone on here from Reno? I know some great trails around here.

Last time I took the trail, I made it with only a lift. A ranger at the top took a picture amazed that it made it. He said I was crazy. There are washed about 3 feet deep the last time. It is pretty crazy, but I have started wheeling when I was 14. The only part I had a hard time with was the rock garden. At the time, I did not have rails. My wife was pretty mad when I got home.

So the run went pretty good. Did not make it to the lake. When we hit 1.5 feet of packed snow, we turned around after a Bronco got stuck. I hit a few sections that were difficult without lockers. I think this trail is a good excuse to buy some. Rock rails were well worth the money. If I did not have them, I would not have a door that opens now.

p.s. How do I post pics on here? Or should I just post the link to the other forum they are posted on?

x2 or you can use CarDomain or Myspace or any other photo hostin site and use the [img] code as Matt said 8) Sound like a good run, turned back after ONLY 1.5 feet of snow  Lockers would be nice and a good winch too, were you alone?? Last time I did a snow run we drug the TJs and YJs thru 2-3 feet of snow...and this was in April

So it turns out Kodak requires you to sign in even if you check the box that says to not require it.
