Would anyone be interested in making a run to the indian springs trail in April? The trial is off Eagle Lakes Road on I-80. Great trail durring the summer. Never been there this early in the season though. Has anyone been up there this year yet?

Looks to be a fun a trail. I've never been, but did a search and find these. http://www.pbase.com/bcm79/eagle_lakes&page=4

I'm running stock, and seems to be stock friendly, but with a twist. I don't think I'll be able to get up there in April as that's a busy month, but I'm interested in a run. Do you know the trail length?

I know one of the trails. There is supposed to be a lot of trails up there though. I like to go camping up there in the summer. Great area. There is a small river with a waterfall at the end of one of the trails.
Does anyone know the trails up there? Maybe we can make a weekend out of it this summer.

I'd like to go when the snow melts. April is out as half that month is involved in the Moab trip.

If you run this please report.

I am trying to get some people together to make a trip to this trail Saturday, April 21st. I should have my skids on by then. If this date works for anyone else let me know. The snow should be melted off by then if it does not snow again. I have made this run before with only a lift and no skids. Hope it has not gotten too damaged over the winter.

Might have if I were going I-80 to Moab, but I'll be in Death Valley, then going I-15 to Moab that day.

Is anybody up for a camping/wheeling trip in early June? I am thinking going up to Indian springs and seeing what my Liberty can do. If you are up for this, we can figure out a weekend to head up there.
:D

It looks like the weekend of June 9th would be good. Can anyone else do that weekend? Even a one day run would be fun.

Yeah. If you take the eagle lakes road exit going toward Sac from Reno, you would take a right toward the camp ground. There is a sign just past the campground enterance that says indain springs OHV staging area. You follow the dirt road about a quarter mile and you find the staging area. We can meet up there and take off. I might end up going camping Friday the 8th and just getting up in the morning and getting ready for the trail run. There are two trails. One is short, but it ends at a cool little stream with a waterfal. The other is supposed to be really long and goes up to some lakes. There are usually a bunch of jeeps on the trail. I am not sure how far we can get, but there was a run up there before with some liberties who said they did pretty good. I cannot find the link for that run anymore though.

Interest. [Just posted my interest]

Weekend is currently open, and will either o/n camp or do the 3-hour dark o'clock day drive. Ben

BTW, in Reno and Mammoth tomorrow to Tuesday to 4-wheel geocache.

OK, so the camping on the 8th is pretty set now. I am going to try and get a summer kick off party going. Not sure if it will take, but if it does, it is going to be a lot of fun! One pony and a lot of people if it goes good. If any one is interested let me know.

I will be at Eagle lakes Friday night the 8th for camping. There are going to be a few more people out there camping and we are going to get a pony keg. Let me know if anyone is interested in camping there on Friday night.

Sounds good. What time do you want to meet up at the staging area?

I plan on going up to the area this weekend just to check the area out and see if there is still snow. I will try and post a pre-run report on Monday! I just returned from Amsterdam and have not had time to put my skid plate on yet. I am going to get that installed by this weekend though.
