Hi All,

I have been dying to go wheeling for a while with some fellow LOST folks. Is there anyone close to the Folsom area that would like to maybe do some runs, even if it's little goofy stuff? It'd be nice even to exchange knowledge of little trails (even a dirt road would be nice) close to the area. About all I've got real close to here is Latrobe Rd. which can be fun but gets old fast.

I'm just getting sick of not being able to try things because if I get stuck I've got no one to pull me out.

Thanks in advance if anyone is insterested.

Just east of Sacramento. Kinda between Sac and Placerville.

I'm in Roseville and could be down for a trail sometime, I just need to get my sliders on, but other than that i'm down, I'm not sure of the legality of going to Rattlesnake bar, but i used to go out there alot. I think there are some trails up on the way to loon lake

I am in Stockton to your south, but like Bcool, I don’t have my sliders yet (waiting for Rock Lizard to complete). I am up for moderate trails – let’s go :D .

Bcool, I don't think rattlesnake bar is legal anymore. Nice drive out there though. If you ever want to come out this way and check out what Latrobe has to offer, just holler. It's just dirt road with two decent water crossing once the rains start. There are some hills/berms that are short but steep to run up too. Once it starts raining the mud gets pretty good and you can get stuck (from experience) because dudes with 35 inch and up tires have rutted out some of the mudholes.

Lost Eddie I'm pretty sure I've seen some trails from my book out in your direction so maybe we can get together for some of those one weekend? I think they were listed intermediate, but you'll have time to get your sliders on if you want.

KJ in tight spot, I don't make it down that far south much (usually just headed for DisneyLand), but would love to if I could. :)

Most of the Tahoe trails are closed for the winter read the "book" for opening info.

I ran McKenny Creek trail to Barker Peak early last June and intended to take Blackwood Canyon trail down but it was still closed (blocked by forest service gate). The snow must not have melted on that side of the Mtn. Had to retrace the way I came.

In Jan/Feb I think everything close to Tahoe is closed.

I'd be up for a run at Shaver lake. I drive up to Fresno all the time so it wouldn't be hard for me to make it.

K lemme know then, Bald Mt is a good little fun trail that the KJ could handle and its open usually regardless of snow levels...

If someone wants to put together (or at least let me know when and where) I'll make the trip to Fresno one weekend. I'd like to do some driving in the snow.

Anyone know what the trails around tahoe/strawberry are like this time of year? I don't think they've had much snow yet if anyone is interested in heading that direction.

I'd put some of these together myself but I've never been to any of them, so If someone else has and wants to go again, let put a group together if we can. Otherwise, we can get a bunch of n00bs together and go (and they'll find us next spring) :D

the tahoe area should be fine this time of year, but we'd better get there soon or they will start closing stuff.

Are you familiar enough with the trail to lead it? I'm more than willing to coordinate things but I don't know much about the trails up near Fresno. From what I've been told it starts to snow there after Thanksgiving, but not sure. What would be a good timeframe for anyone interested?

Wasn't big enough. The backcountry was closed to non-motorcycles past July, and the play area was small, with the mud pit dried and the log stairs under reconstruction. Definitely phone ahead.

I've never even heard of Carnegie. Tracy's not to far from me either so I'd like to try it if you guys ever head over there.

Carroll, I am VERY familiar with Bald Mt and very capable of leadin it if yall wana head out here...it snowed up there back in September...me and the girl went up there to make a day run and check it out, most of it melted away by now but in the next few weeks more snow should fall. This trail is very capable of being run in the snow as well as I have done NUMEROUS times

Here are some pics from last year while doing Bald Mt. in the snow (sorry its an old pic)

Image

Image

This was taken a few weeks ago from the abandoned fire lookout at the top of Bald Mt.

Image

Lemme know if yall wanna do this run...it is very within the capabilities of a KJ and there are plenty of spots to test your skills and balls if you choose to take harder lines...lets try to do it before the snow gets ridiculously deep though cause my winch is on the fritz
