Well, I know my wife and I, my brother and his 2 girls, and my parents will all be camping at Lake Alpine this Labor Day holiday weekend. Tried to make reservations but it is a first come first serve basis I guess. Going to have to go down early and try and get a good site.

Either way it looks like I'll be down there if we wanna do the trail run that weekend.

Oh yeah I almost forgot. I will be there as well over labor day. We will be staying aboutt 8 miles down from alpine at spicer. I'll come find you at alpine and run you thru slick rock.

Yeah, if we can't find a spot at Alpine we will try Spicer as well.

Cool .It fills up quick like alpine does. I personally think spicer is nicer. But either way they each have trailheads into slick rock nearby.

I think I'll be there with my family for 3 nights. Fri, Sat, Sun and leave Mon. I think I'd like to wheel on Sat, maybe Friday too if we decide to do Deer Valley and Slick Rock. But if only Slick Rock, then Sat is my vote. Those dates are the 29, 30, 31 and 1st.

I believe we're scheduled to arrive on the 26 and stay till sunday the 31 st. There is no phone coverage in spicer or uttica area but if you cruise thru spicer meadows campground you are sure to find us. As well we shall eyeball alpine area for you on one of our general store runs. Last year My buddy and I were fishing on lake alpine in our 12 ft. alum. boat on labor day weekend and got down poured on by rain for about 20 minutes during which time I caught the biggest fish of that trip about a 4 lb. Brown it was sweet.

Hey Guys,

I'd like to also tenatively get in on this. I've been in North Carolina and Kentucky since our Strawberry Pass run, which was awesome. Once I get back home, I'll be able to hash out my work schedule better and see what's up.

I'd really like a chance to wheel with you guys again.

Also, I'm very sorry to hear about your mother Ben, you and your mother will be in my family's prayers.

I will be running the slickrock trail on the 30 th. of this month if you all are still interested. For the most part it should be ez but there are couple spots that could be hazardous to your kj's health.

I'm going to be in the area on the 30th. Planning on going from Strawberry on the 50 through Strawberry Pass, then over the Deer Valley trail to Alpine Lake. Hopeing to also do the Slickrock trail. Not sure if we'll meet up anywhere. I'll be in a silver JK Wrangler. I'm from the southern Cal LOSTJeeps group. Does any one know how long it is from Strawberry to Alpine Lake time wise??

Well, we'd love to have you.

Strawberry is awesome. Not sure on the distance from Strawberry to Lake Alpine or Deer Valley, or Slick Rock for that matter. The trail took us really long because we had a group come through that took forever on a really tough obstacle and quadrupled or more our time on the trail. It should take around 3 hours or so and from there, not sure on the time.

Should be a nice little group of us if it all falls together.

Ken should know distances better than I do for sure.
