Can you put something together for June 19-21?

Would be cool to add it to the So-Cal calendar.

Sure can. I'll think of something.

Well, for 2009 I think there might be too many scheduling conflicts with all the 09 LOST events already planned to get a really good showing for any NorCal event similar to Big Bear or Ouray. We could do a mini LOST Tahoe get together and do it in late June or early July and make it a model for what we could build upon for 2010 though. Make it a 3 day event and see which trails would be best to try and fit in for those who want to push the limits and those who want to take it easy. Maybe I am getting ahead of myself though...

Soooooooo where does this stand. I do want to come up to Reno this summer and would love to make the trip with one of the jeeps.

It will happen I just need to sit down and plan it out, plus see where snow pack is and should be at those dates to determine the best trail.

I bet you have a lot of snow pack this year...............................seems like it has been a wet winter.

Not too much actually. We need more. It has been a bit snowy as of late though. We'll see how it ends up.

After running Slick Rock last year and seeing those awesome camping spots on that creek, it might be fun to do an overnight on the trail. Maybe run it from the waterfall back to Lake Alpine? I think the trail would be more fun to run the way we did it last year from Lake Alpine down, but the camping spots are closer to the Lake Alpine side. Maybe we could hit Deer Valley towards Slick Rock, then do Slick ROck to those camping spots, camp and hang out, then do the rest of Slick Rock the following day. What do you guys think?

I do want to come up for a trip this year. It's a farily good haul up there but I will make it at least once.

That would be a really fun trip, Deer Valley to Slick Rock and then if you wanted to do a 3 day stay thing, you could do your last night in a hotel at Tahoe for something more refined if interested. Stay one night camping and one night in a hotel or something.

Fathers day weekend. Works for me but past experience has been that it doesn't work for many.

The local crowd here is all too eager to go on runs. I mentioned doing this run and had like 10 people chime in immediately that they wanted to go. Wish it was the same on here.
