This is the perfect time of year here to get out wheeling................people just don't seem to have much interest in it. Now if I had a sand rail or ATV that would be different! lol

so ya know, Big Bear Forest Fest is fathers day weekend, 19-20th.

I am planning on doing that event, so would prefer a weekend off between runs. so i guess that means June 6th weekend.

I don't see a problem with that.

Mike, is the snow melted off in early June up there? Sometimes the drifts can still be pretty deep.

I asked the guys and they said the snow there is usually gone by Memorial Day. That is the general consensus. We'll see.

actually, we could still do this in July or August. my wheeling is gonna have to stay in Cali anyway those months as my Ouray trips is in the crapper due to the wife getting her layoff notice this week. So, my July is open so far too.

July is also good. We'll just leave it in June/July and have it open ended for now.

Sorry to hear about the wife's job.

Yeah, pretty bad. I need to finish my rails and I'm good to go. Some friends tried to run the Con yesterday and got pretty far I guess, but there was tons and tons of snow and they were winching constantly. So the other Sierras trails will still have some snow in the shaded areas at least.
