I went ahead and bought me a Silver 4-door JK.
Somehow I just had to have it.
Sold the KJ to my younger brother.

Congratulations on your purchased! I'm planing to buy a JK by the end of this year. Last weekend I test drove a Rubicon 4 door it drives very smooth.

So, what are you impressions of it vs. your KJ? I have been considering trading in my KJ for one, mostly for the strait axle and the availability of the aftermarket mods...unlike the KJ. My concern is that because technically the KJ is my wife's rig, that the JK will have much less creature comforts. I could give a rat's booty about that stuff myself but you know how it goes. She would be happy to let me lift and lock it but she loves her KJ so it would have to have comparable comfort. How does the ride quality, drivability, road noise and interior room compare to the KJ?

Personally, I would like a short Rubi but babies don't fit so well in tiny Jeeps. 8)

So far I love the new Wrangler, it does drive smooth and have not really heard a lot of road noise. I have the hard top and have not yet tried it with the soft top yet. It is not a smooth on the bumps as the KJ with IFS but I have no problem with that, it was not unexpected. As far as creature comforts I would disagree. The Sahara is loaded, I have power windows, power locks, sirius radio, dual top group, premiem sound and subwoofer, trailer group, Trac-lok limited slip Differential, 6 disc DVD changer. One mod found on another forum even allows dvd video output from the 6 disc dvd changer. The interior room is great. more space in the back for storage. Yes a lot of after market goodies. It is hard not to plan purchases for this Wrangler.

a good forum for the JK I found is:
http://forum.jkboard.com/index.php
Still will hang out on the L.O.S.T board too.
