Hi,

I'm having trouble finding any shops with KJ experience in the lower Rio Grande Valley. I'm pretty picky - need everything torqued to specs and all that. Any recommendations for a good suspension shop in South Texas? I'm in Brownsville, but would go to Houston or San Antonio if necessary. My KJ is a 2007 6 spd that I want to make trail ready for mountains in northern Mexico. Really want a Frankenlift but need a good shop to install it and some body armor.

Thanks for your responses.

Gene, Brownsville

Austin? There's a JeepMasters that's pretty good.

Hi Suero,

Thanks for the info. on Expert 4x4 in McAllen. Sorry to to have responded earlier, but I had trouble accessing my L.O.S.T. account. I'll try and drive over to McAllen this coming Friday (Feb. 12) to check them out. Do you know anything about a Tip-of-Texas Offroad and Performance (Olmito, Texas, a few miles from my house. They seem to be concentrating on mega lifts on full size 4 door pickups which is not what I'm looking for. Also found listed a Stutz Automotive in McAllen
and a Wesley's frond end shop in Weslaco. I need to go talk to these guys, too.

I'm going to go with an O.M.E lift, new UCA from Jeepin' by Al, and new brake lines as I'm trying to maintain stock handling as much as possible.

Gene, in Brownsville
