The gaurd dogs in the tire thread don't tolerate different opinions.

Welcome Loco,

Sometimes the guys that have been on here for a while are pretty set in the views and opinions... guess its from trial and error.

Where at in San Antonio are you?

I think it's an Ohio thing - they spend too much time snowed in.

you do understand that from a psychology standpoint it's pretty much impossible to 'win' an internet argument.

I mean there are a dozen & one studies that show that people make emotionally based decisions and then use reason to defend them until faced with overwhelming evidence that they're wrong

and nothing on the internet will get to overwhelming evidence.

You're better off just saying this is my experience and then dropping it.

the folks who have made up their minds won't change no matter what you say, however.
you may impact some of the new guys who haven't heard that point of view and are open to thinking about things.

Welcome aboard Loco!

And yeah, some are pretty blunt with replies. But I have pretty thick skin. After you hang around a while you get to enjoy the humor of them. I guess I am a little like that too. Just kinda sarcastic. I think the thing that sets them off is when someone comes on and asks the same question that has already been asked 200 times, explained 200 times, and rehashed 200 times. Instead of using the search button and reading a little history. No harm in asking, but there is a ton of info on here already. So read up, then ask more pointed questions about specifics that you haven't found in the thousands of post history.
