Post subject:  New to me 05 CRD in the Houston area.
I posted this in the new member area but figured I'd post here too. Been reading these forums for a while now and finally picked up a CRD KJ and I'm really excited about it. It's completely stock for now but that will be changing.

Any other CRD owners in the Houston area? Any mechanics you guys trust? I don't need one right now but might be good to know about in the future.

actually for CRD's the biggest problem from day one has been finding a good mechanic - the original dealer tech's got a one hour video - and that included all 05 model year changes including the diesel....

a true Jeep dealership only saw 2-3 CRD's and never got past a learning curve.
best bet is a shop that services Cummins/Sprinters - at least they know what a diesel is.
