Jeremy-

I was looking at the pics of your Jeep and have some questions:

1. Where did you get the light bar? I want one.
2. What mount did you use for your cb antenna? I've done some research and looked at pics of different locations and decided I want to put it in the same place you have yours. I found the Firestik doorjam mount but I'm not sure if it would work.

BTW- I also have an '03 Freedom and I love it.

The light bar was custom made by Rick in Maryland and myself. It's just a piece of aluminum angle from Home Depot cut to size and attached to the rails with U-bolts. The lights are cheap $15 a pair from Harbor Frieght Tools.

My CB antenna mount is the FireStik MK-204. It's actually a kit that comes with the SS-204A mount and 18ft of coax with a special ring connector at one end.

Oh, and the Freedom's are great, aren't they? I'm always getting comments from people (even dealer service techs) about how much they like thee two-tone paint and interior. :)

Thanks for the info. I don't have the money to do much yet, so an inexpensive light bar will be great. Your cb mount is the same kit I had looked at. I'm glad it works well. I really didn't want o lose my flip glass by mounting it to the spare mount.

I love my Freedom. It's red with the graphite grill, bumpers, and wheel well covers. And I love the high back front seats witht eh leather inserts. I saw it sitting on the lot and didn't bother looking at any others.

The lightbar does vibrate quite a bit over bumps and in the wind and the lights are fairly flimsy. I'd try to find some silightly better lights and maybe use two pieces of aluminum angle bolted back to back to increase the stiffness (one 8 foot piece cut in half will work fine.) You could also use steel, but I was lazy and didn't feel like painting it.
