Post subject:  LOST club run MARCH 15-16 Brazos Valley Offroad Ranch
Fort Hood Military Jeepers is putting on an event for all Jeep clubs to attend at Brazos Valley Offroad Ranch on March 15-16 (I'd probably only go on the 15th). I've never been there but it seems like a nice place. It is just outside Bryan/College station. Approx 1:45 from Houston and 2:30 from San Antonio and Dallas.
It seems like the most centrally located pace for most of us (sorry El Paso and Rio Grand Valley).
I'm probably going to attend with SAJE or FHMJ, unless I can get a sizable group (4+) from LOST to go. Come on San Antonio, Houston, Dallas/Ft Worth, Austin guys you know you want to! :wink:
If I get enough people I'll contact FHMJ for us. If its just 2-3 of us we can just tag along with another club.
Any serious takers?

Ughh! I was really interested in this but i mapquested it from spring to the park and it's 3 hours...that's about 4 hours from Houston to the park. A bit far. :(

I dont know where you're getting your info from. I mapped it and it's like a hour and a half from houston lol hour and twenty from magnolia

throw that address into google maps and half way between Leonnard Road and Villa Maria is the entrance.

If it is an hour 30 min there is a really good chance il make it. The address i used was incorrect. I have a lifted KJ, any idea on what other Liberties are going to be wheeling this event?????

I'm glad there is so much interest.
As far as I know We'll be the only one's unless there are Liberties in other clubs.
As I understand it this place is a lot less rocky than where I'm used to wheeling, but as always I recommend full armor before a lift. We can always pull you off or up an obstacle, but it's hard to repair trail damage. I just recommend skids at the minimum.

I'll post a list up top of who's going. Just let me know if you want your name added on or taken off.

Reading the link to the park the owner offers free entry to those with an Active Duty ID card. Hells yeah!!! :pepper: I'll be ordering skids and rails soon and will have them insalled before we roll out.

Alright, so it sounds like we might have 4 Liberties going?? I will plan on going but that is still a good ways off to be able to commit for sure. Hopefully Terry will be able to go and you and I could convoy up there. (You needa get lifted!!) Now if we could get 4x4Kayak to go we might have 2 lifted kjs and and a kk coming just from Houston! :D :JEEPIN: :pepper:

That would be the only liberty convoy I have ever seen! Ugh I've got the lift itch so bad.

I'm going to be buying skid plates, one each paycheck till the trip and saving for lift etc

I remember seeing one on Craigslist, did it sell before you could pick it up?

I'm currently looking for an offroad shop that'll fab up some stuff for me or an emtpy garage that has the tools :frankie:
I've got just about every piece of steel to fab up some nice rock rails but haven't had the time nor the tools to put them together.

Ok! Only two weeks until his run. Who's still interested? Anybody back out or decide to come? Let's get an official list and start planning some meeting times. If you want to wheel with other liberties or are not heavily modded. This is the one for you. It is probably the most centrally located park for us.
