We did miss you out there
hope you can make it next time
Next time, for sure! High school football season's over, and wedding season's slow (I'm getting out of weddings anyway), so I don't have much going on until spring, just the 9-5 grind Monday-Friday.
I'll be lifted next time on the trail. My brother who builds Hummers in South Bend is going to help me install a Daystar KJ09123 spacer lfit (1.5" front and 2" rear). That kit should meet my needs for a little more ground clearance and more truck-like stance without hitting me too hard in the wallet. I'll have change left to buy some skids. The CRD guys seem very happy with this lift, so I expect more than 1.5" of lift in the front given my lighter front end. As badly as I want a Rusty's coil lift, I can't justify the extra $$$ when I don't plan to wheel very hard or very often. I'm hoping this conservative amount of lift won't cause any other problems or require other upgrades like longer shocks or aftermarket arms. Daystar tech support says longer shocks aren't necessary, but they don't hurt either.
Thanks for remembering my birthday, Lou! I turn 35 Tuesday. Kinda depressing, but I've always felt age is just a number.
Cheers,
T.J.
