Sounds fine Moose. There is an updated weather forcast. Keeps getting better with only a 30% chance of rain after 3pm and partly cloudy.

I will be leaving at 5am sharp from Indy. This will put me at the 49er at 9am if all goes well. That will give me time to gas up and air down. 4 hours is about my maximum highway range on a tank so I am sure I will need it. I am guessing the Ohio crew will be on channel 4 on the cb so I will keep mine tuned there and try to reach you once I hit I-75. I don't have a cell phone. I have Eddos cell number and will call via a pay phone if I get into trouble.

Are you going through Cincinnati? That's why I made the rendezvous point Florence, KY. It's fine if you're not though...

I am going though Cincinnati. I must not have read the post you made about meeting in KY as I must have just assumed it was somewhere in OH. I should be there at about 6:45am which you posted and will look for a McDonalds. Sorry I missed it before. I will be on channel 4.

Jason, can you give us an exit number, address, or some directions?

According to Google there are 3 McDonald's in Florence right off the I-75.

Also, US-42/US-127 exit 180 to Florence/Union has a BP and a McDonald's. Let's try to leave the McDonald's parking lot at 6:45 that morning. That will put us in Livingston around 8:45

This is the bet I've got... Looks like the BP & McD's is on the east side of I-75.

there will be a water tower that says " florence, ya'll " right near the exit on the right hand side. if you see this you should be right on top of it. its 20 minutes or so south of ohio river, so a 40 minute drive from west chester.

thats the directions that i got.

Looks as if you all had a great time, great pictures. But I must say the Sami with the tractor tires really looked as if it was ready for anything!

Had a great time!

I was looking at the maps when I got home:
Image

I think we should try to follow the trail that is east of the cave next time. I think this is the trail we saw the group of jeeps on while we were at lunch. We saw their trailers down near Hawk Creek when we crossed that small stream on our way out. If we followed the trail southeast from the cave, it connects with 1053. If all is going well, we can then drop south passed Whitt Cemetery and run past Hawk Creek. This will then connect to the gravel road out to 80.

We were kicking around ideas sometime in March with the hope we can do something also in Jan/Feb is the weather keeps warm. We were just brainstorming over the CB on the weary trip home.
