I hear ya Jeger....I feel the same exact way. I really dont have anything planned that weekend and from the looks of all the stockers going....I'm kinda wanting to go real bad. The drive is awful long for me though...

You know you want to come! Its going to be an awsome turn out!! :D

Put your name on the list then. We could use two people to bring meat & buns at this rate...

I need an afternoon of warm(er) and less windy weather (or a dry garage) to put that last skid plate on. It's been mighty chilly in the afternoons....

After a long talk with my parents last night...I wont be able to make it. :(

I just dont have the protection (skids, hooks, etc..) and they don't want me on the road five hours down there and five hours back....there is no possible way I could stay over night so I'm guna have to pass on this. It's a big bummer...I really wanted to make the run with all you guys....there's many of you I haven't met yet.

Have fun without me... :x

Can folks involved in other Jeep forums post a link on this run? I think it would be nice to see if we can get some other Jeeps (or even other 4x4's ) on the run with us.

I may have a wrangler going. I told them about it today at church and they seemed like they want to go.

I don't think they are allowed.

No problem. He was just curious and I figured I'd post it up and see what happened.

Dont you have to be licensed, insured full size vehicles to run the service roads, think that may be why quads would not be allowed

Quads are allowed, if you actually check the website, there are very specific requirements though.

Yup, its a legal HW. I was down there the other day running around and some cops in stock tahoes stopped me and talked to me. They didnt really ask me for anything, just told me to be careful.. I was more amazed at how the heck they got stock tahoes out there than the fact that they were out checking people. But Im glad that they do, that keeps people from going out there and messing things up.. :)

Not where we ride. Quads are only allowed in a few areas open to OHVs. Most of what we ride on is consider public roads and closed to OHVs. If I remember correctly there is even a sign that says this area is closed to OHVs and offroad travel.

When I was younger I had a quad, and we had it registered so that I could drive it on public roads... But I guess if theres an actual sign saying no, then theyre not allowed.

looking like i wont be able to make it unless i get another trail rig. I'm in the process of parting out my bronco so i can buy something a bit smaller to tow behind the liberty. namely a suzuki sammy. :D
