I'm game for it. Is there a tame trail I can break myself in on? My KJ is bone stock and only 3500 miles on it.

The Cliffs is 104 miles from my neck of the woods. Should we caravan our KJs down there?

NOT trying to disuade you from trying it, but...

I haven't been to Cliffs this year due to the new arrival. Unless they have a new "mild" trail, I would not recommend taking a stock Libby there without armor. With armor and good conditions (fairly dry), you MIGHT be OK. You most likely will get some pretty pinstripes though.

Last I heard they were working on a mild trail, but no idea if it every came to be. Guess we can call and find out.

You (or anybody for that matter) are welcome to ride with me and my daughter as the wife and baby will be staying home, leaving 3 open spaces :D

I'd still want to go - and ride with FreeJeep if necessary. Maybe it'll end up that there is a trail of some sort for me. Too bad Badlands is so much farther - thier website claims to have easy trails. a 4 hour drive would mean staying overnight for me. Rockport is even farther.

Midwest Xterra members meet at Lake Geneva on 10/ 22. I e-mailed Paul Illinois section moderator if we could join them.
I have never been to Lake Geneva and never wheeled with Xterras so It would be interesting. I let you know once I hear back from them.

Attached is my email and response from Xterra moderator (Lincoln). I would like to ask how many of us would like to go before I post there. It should work out fine.

Bogdan,

Feel free to join the MXO site and post in the thread regarding the LG
run. You are more than welcome to join, unless we have too many rigs
showing up. Please post in the thread and let the organizer tell you if
there is room.

Mike (lincoln)

mattnmette,

I think we'll get over it :D

I'd say do this rather than Cliffs(or maybe both ;-)).

I'm in if they have the room.

So , looks like four of us so far. Let's wait till Friday night for final count before posting on Xterra site.If it does not work we can always do Cliffs.
Mattnmette, I am not mad at you. I give you credit for trying to get something going and revive our stagnant group.
Don I will be bringing my son maybe both sons ( younger is 3 now)
Bogdan

It's a GO!
We are going to Lake Geneva with Midwest Xterra on 10/22. Let's figure out meeting place later- once it gets closer to the event. This is going to be interesting. :D

How many rigs did the Xterra group give the ok for? If one more can go, I'm in. If the wife doesn't go, I'll offer up the right seat. Any idea on time?
